Guitar Chords: Major 6th Chords (printable)

A major sixth (M6) chord is 6th interval built on top of a major triad (1 b3 5).  A major sixth chord can also be called an add six chord, Cadd6 for example.  The notes in a F major 6th chord are F, A, C, D.  The notes in a D minor 7 chord are D, A, C, F.  You will notice that both chords contain exactly the same notes.  Whether it is called a major sixth or a minor seventh depends on the context that it is used.
